Welcome to the Lone Prairie Forge, Bladesmith site of Jim Cole, Apprentice.

Jim is a student of Jason Knight, Master Bladesmith, and is currently working on his Journeyman rating.

Most all knives produced at Lone Prairie Forge are personal request items or are historic replicas of specialty blades. Jim also works on antique and heirloom restorations. Other items produced are geared toward hunting and fishing enthusiasts. If you have a special request, please click here and leave detailed information on what you'd like.

Some things to know:

Jim works solely with raw steel or repurposed steel. No stock removal or custom ground kits are used in any blade crafted at Lone Prairie Forge. You are guaranteed that any blade and handle crafted by Jim Cole has been hand forged in the U.S.A.
